Happy Independence Day 2023 Schedule: The Prime Minister will hoist the tricolour from the ramparts of the Red Fort in New Delhi on Tuesday (August 15, 2023). He is scheduled to reach the Lahore Gate of the Red Fort at 7:11 am on Tuesday.

Happy Independence Day 2023 Schedule: India is celebrating its 77th Independence Day on Tuesday (August 15). The Prime Minister will hoist the tricolour from the ramparts of the Red Fort in New Delhi on this occasion. All preparations have been completed for the ceremony. The complete schedule of the program is out. Here, we tell you about the timings of the complete program of the flag hoisting ceremony.

Sequence of Events

06:50 AM- Gathering for the Guard of Honour.
06:55 AM- Defense Secretary will come and reach under the Red Fort ramparts.
6:56-07:00 AM – Arrival of CAS/CNS/COAS/CDS
07:08 AM– Arrival of the Minister of State for Defense
07:11 AM– Arrival of Defense Minister
07:11 AM– Prime Minister’s arrival at Lahore Gate. Defence Minister, Minister of State for Defence and Defence Secretary will come to receive the PM.

The guard commander will take the PM to the guard of honour.

After the inspection, the PM and the Commander of the Guard will reach the ramparts.

Defence Minister, Minister of State for Defence, Defence Secretary, CDS and Service Chiefs will receive him near the ramparts.

The PM will proceed to his dais with the Commander of the Guard and the Defence Minister, Minister of State for Defence, Defence Secretary, CDS and Service Chiefs will proceed to their seats.

07:30 AM- The PM will hoist the national flag. Guards will give national salute and the Band will play National Anthem. Salute of 21 guns will be given to the PM.
Flowers will be showered on the guests by the Indian Air Force.

07:33 AM- The Prime Minister will address the country.

The national anthem will be played after the PM’s address.

Balloons will be released.

The PM will come down from the dias.

The PM will be met by Defence Minister, Minister of State for Defence, Defence Secretary, CDS and Service Chiefs near the steps of the ramparts.

The PM will leave with the Defence Secretary and the Commander of the Guard.
