Samsung has launched a rival accessory to Apple AirTag, namely the Galaxy SmartTag 2 , in India. The company claims the Galaxy SmartTag 2 comes with an upgraded processor making it more versatile and enabling new and better ways to track valuables.
This tracker has a compact design and offers a variety of modes. Quoted from Gadgets Now, the Galaxy SmartTag 2 comes with a price tag of Rs 2,799 (around Rp. 533 thousand) and is available in black and white.

Galaxy SmartTag 2 provides an improved Compass View feature. It can provide intuitive visual cues for directions. This feature improves the user experience by providing arrows to show the direction and distance of the Galaxy SmartTag 2 to the user. This mode is available on all Galaxy phones that support Ultra Wide Band (UWB) such as the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
This Bluetooth tracker also comes with a new Lost Mode feature. This feature uses the device’s NFC display to register user contact information via messages. With this, anyone who finds an item with a Galaxy SmartTag 2 installed can use their smartphone to scan the tag and see the owner’s message and contact information.
Galaxy SmartTag 2 comes with a new Power Saving mode. With Power Saving mode, the Galaxy SmartTag 2 battery can now last up to 700 days, more than double compared to the previous Galaxy SmartTag model. Even in Normal mode, battery life can now reach 500 days, an increase of 50 percent compared to the previous generation.
Galaxy SmartTag 2 comes with a waterproof design. To use this device, users must first register a new Galaxy SmartTag 2 and immediately launch it in the SmartThings Find app. The intuitive UX experience enables a simple method for users to find things they like.
