Rahul Starts Vacating His 12 Tughlak Lane Bungalow

The Congress leader is moving his belongings to his mother and Congress Parliamentary Party chairperson Sonia Gandhi’s 10 Janpath bungalow, it is learnt.

After a Parliament committee served him an eviction notice, Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday started the process of vacating Bungalow Number 12 on Tughlak Lane.

Two trucks were seen leaving the bungalow with cartons and packed house items. “About 30 days time (till April 22) was given to him to vacate his house. The vacating process has been hoing on for the last couple of days… It will take time to shift things from his office as well as bungalow, “ said a security staff.

Rahul was served eviction notice after he was disqualified from the Lok Sabha  after being convicted in a criminal defamation case.  He was allotted the Tughlak Lane bungalow in 2004 after he won his first Lok Sabha poll.
