Like many celebrity parents, Priyanka Chopra Jonas has been reticent to share pictures of her infant daughter’s face with the public—but she has shared several photos of the back of baby Malti Marie’s head, including now in her cover story for British Vogue.
The photo has Chopra reclining on her side with her daughter sitting in front of her, both in ruby red dresses to match the backdrop. While Chopra gazes pensively to the side, she holds baby Malti’s face against her breast (so who knows what Malti is gazing at).
Chopra shared the photo on her Instagram, writing in the caption, “Another one of our many firsts together….” Chopra shares one-year-old Malti, her first child, with husband Nick Jonas, telling Vogue that motherhood has given her a new sense of purpose. “It’s been 20 years of hustling and working at breakneck speed. I’ve always been like, ‘What’s the next thing?’” Chopra said. “But now I feel I have a center, a sense of calm, because every decision ends up being about her.”
This is the first time the back of Malti’s head has appeared in a magazine cover story, but her head is all over Chopra’s Instagram. “Home ❤️🙏🏽💫🧿,” Chopra captioned one IG post with herself, baby, and Jonas. “Our first trip to the big 🍎😍🧿,” she captioned another photo, this one taken in a New York City hotel room.
“I’ve been really protective of this chapter of my life with my daughter,” Priyanka Chopra told Vogue. “Because it’s not about my life only. It’s hers too.”
