Oppo has released the Oppo A79 5G in India. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chipset, this cellphone has a 50MP main camera. The Oppo A79 is also equipped with a fingerprint sensor on the side of the body and a polycarbonate frame with a metal-like texture.
The Oppo A79 5G is priced at Rs 19,999 (around Rp. 3.8 million) and can be purchased online at OPPO Store, Flipkart, Amazon, and offline from official retail outlets in the country starting October 28, 2023. Oppo A79 5G comes in a Mystery Black color option and Glowing Green.
Oppo A79 5G features a 6.72-inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels. The screen offers a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 680 nits.
The Oppo A79 5G is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chipset supported by a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. This phone has 128GB UFS 2.2 storage which can be expanded with a microSD card and 8GB LPDDR4x RAM. This RAM capacity can be expanded with 8GB virtual RAM.
This 5G-enabled smartphone runs the Android 13 operating system with the ColorOS 13 interface. This mid-range smartphone has a 50MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture, a 2MP portrait sensor and an 8MP front camera.
For connectivity, the Oppo A79 5G is equipped with 5G SA/ NSA network support, Dual 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. This cellphone is also supported by a 5000mAh battery with support for 33W SuperVOOC fast charging.
Other features of this phone include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, and IP54 certification for dust and water resistance.
