Nipah Virus in India Claims Lives, what is the Condition of Indonesian Citizens?

The Nipah virus has killed 2 people in the Indian state of Kerala . This virus is transmitted from animals, with fruit bats belonging to the Pteropodidae family as its natural host.

Indonesian Ambassador to India Ina Hagniningtyas Krisnamurthi said that currently a lockdown is being implemented in the region. The local government has also made a number of efforts to prevent the spread of the virus. 

Meanwhile, the condition of Indonesian citizens in Kerala is in good condition. The Indonesian Embassy also appealed to Indonesian citizens not to panic, and to remain alert and provided a hotline for Indonesian citizens who needed assistance.
