Rao said the portal has helped common farmers get the benefit of protecting their land records and helped them stay clear of middlemen, who earlier ruled the roost in the garb of revenue staff.
Slamming the Opposition, Telangana Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao has urged the farm sector to strive for protection of the Dharani land record management portal in the state. Addressing a public meeting in Nagarkurnool district headquarters on Tuesday evening, Rao cautioned farmers to see the “nefarious designs” of the opposition in general, and the Congress in particular, according to a statement.
“Some leaders in the state are nursing a grouse against the Dharani portal and announcing that it would be dumped in the Bay of Bengal. Dumping Dharani is nothing but dumping farmers, and we won’t encourage that,” he said, according to the statement. Rao said the portal has helped common farmers get the benefit of protecting their land records and helped them stay clear of middlemen, who earlier ruled the roost in the garb of revenue staff.
