Annamalai Slams DMK Leader for Issuing ‘Death Threats’ to BJP Cadres

Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai on Sunday hit out at Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leader RS Bharathi for issuing “death threats” to saffron party cadres. K Annamalai shared a video of RS Bharathi wherein he is heard threatening the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) cadres.

In the purported video, RS Bharathi can be heard saying, “The BJP wants to handle Tamil Nadu politics in a different manner. They are threatening and are trying to do something to this government. I want to say only one thing.

If you dare to touch this Government, understand that this is not the same DMK which was dismissed during the Emergency. If you dare to touch (dismiss) this government, not even one BJP cadre will be alive in Tamil Nadu. I’m not saying this, but the people (are saying this).”

Responding to the indirect death threat to saffron party workers, Annamalai said, “In the series of abuses that the people and other political parties in Tamil Nadu have to endure in the DMK regime, DMK leader RS Bharathi has taken it to a whole new level by issuing death threats to BJP cadres! We will not be shaken by these empty threats, Mr Stalin.”

“Yes, we wish to deal with the politics in Tamil Nadu in a different way. Governance without Corruption, Commission and Collection!” he added.
