Hanoi, Apr 15 (Prensa Latina) The Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam, Vuong Dinh Hue, will make an official visit to Cuba, Argentina and Uruguay, between April 18th and 28th.
The main objective of this visit to Cuba will be to further expand and deepen bilateral collaboration in various fields, said the Vietnamese ambassador in Havana, Le Thanh Tung, in exclusive statements to Prensa Latina.
The diplomat stressed that this is will be the largest delegation from Vietnam that has ever arrived in Cuba, in terms of the number of political leaders, parliamentarians, businessmen and representatives of friendship associations.
In his words, “This constitutes an expression of model relations between Vietnam and Cuba which the top leaders of both nations left us: Fidel Castro and Ho Chi Minh”.
The secretary of the Cuban Parliament, Homero Acosta, made a working visit to Vietnam last November, where he passed through Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and the provinces of Da Nang and Can Tho.
Acosta told Prensa Latina that those were very fruitful days, both the courtesy meetings with the Chairman of the National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue, and with the General Secretary and head of the Office of the Parliament, Bui Van.
Acosta highlighted that Dinh Hue praised the victory achieved by Cuba in the United Nations General Assembly, which has approved, for the thirtieth time and by an overwhelming majority, the resolution against the blockade imposed by the United States on the Island.
